Electricity Alliance South West
SCOPE: The Electricity Alliance South West carries out two workstreams on behalf of National Grid Electricity within the south west of England and south Wales. The first work stream includes asset replacement within existing substations while the second is the building of new or extended substations to enhance the electricity grid for future power generation including renewables.
The alliance also provides project management, construction delivery and commissioning of asset replacement and new, HV substations up to 400kV. Projects involve civil and M&E installation lasting from anything from six months to four years duration. The Alliance manages the project process from feasibility through design, construction and commissioning in partnership with Jacobs and Mitsubishi Engineering.
By working together with our consortium members, we are able to offer a full turnkey solution including:

- Civil Engineering design
- Electrical Plant design
- Provision of electrical equipment
- All aspects of CDM Health & Safety support
- Accountancy, commercial and planning services
- Turnkey delivery and commissioning services
