Having been with Morrison Utility Services for over 20 years, in September 2016 Jim was appointed Chief Executive following the acquisition of Morrison Utility Services by First Reserve. He is also Chief Executive of M Group Services, the parent company which owns Morrison Utility Services and its sister companies Dyer & Butler (an infrastructure services provider in core sectors including rail and airports); and Morrison Data Services (a leading provider of energy and water meter reading, data processing and installation services in the UK and Ireland).
Jim has worked in the utility and infrastructure sector for over 30 years and is a Fellow of the ICE.
Martin joined Morrison Utility Services in September 2008 after working for 12 years at United Utilities in a number of roles, including Head of Investor Relations, Group Financial Controller, Finance Director for regulated utilities, and Director of Strategy. Prior to United Utilities, Martin was with KPMG in Preston for nine years. Martin is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has worked with a number of blue chip clients across audit, tax, corporate finance and advisory services.
Trevor was appointed Managing Director Utilities in April 2018.
He has over 30 years’ experience of growing multi-disciplinary services businesses in a variety of sectors including Utilities (Water & Energy) and Transportation. He joined after 14 years at RPS, where he was CEO, having previously worked for EC Harris (now ARCADIS) and MWH (now Stantec).
Trevor is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institute of Directors and holds Masters Degrees in Business Administration and Law.
John joined Morrison Utility Services in 2012 as a Contract Director and was appointed Executive Director in January 2016. John has spent 20 years in the utility sector working on traditional and alliance/joint venture contracts across the water, gas and telecoms sectors. John has a DMS from Manchester Business School and has an MSc in Strategic Change Management. John is also a member of IGEM.
Adam joined Morrison Utility Services in 1987 as a site engineer and has undertaken a number of roles in the business before being appointed Executive Director in 1997. Adams key areas of responsibility are Water and Electricity clients located within our Southern region. Adam has been instrumental in the development of partnerships and long-term relationships with key clients in the South of England.
Mike joined Morrison Utility Services in 1997 as an Area Manager and has undertaken a number of roles before being appointed Executive Director in December 2009. Mike has experience of gas, water, electric and telecom contracts and currently also has responsibility for Morrison Utility Connections, a specialist division that manages District Heating, Energy Storage and ICP. Mike is a Civil Engineer with experience working on national contracts for blue chip clients.
Sean joined Morrison Utility Services in 2001 gaining his most recent position as Executive Director on 1st January 2016. Sean is responsible for the Gas Distribution Strategic Partnership with National Grid Gas Distribution and for the Western Gas Alliance (WGA) with Wales & West Utilities (WWU). Sean has worked in the construction/utility sector for over 30 years and has worked on long term traditional frameworks and Alliance/JV contracts, developing strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners to deliver sustainable and equitable performance for all parties. Sean is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor.
Having joined Morrison Utility Services over 15 years ago, Alain’s most recent appointment as Executive Director (MD Telecom) came in January 2017. Alain has over 25 years telecom industry experience gained in the UK, Ireland and Europe. Alain is responsible for all Morrison Utility Services clients within the telecommunications sector, nationwide. He has a Master’s Degree in Economics and Business Administration.
Mick joined Morrison Utility Services in 2002 as a Commercial Manager and became Commercial Director in 2009, and appointed Executive Director (Commercial) in 2017. Mick has extensive experience of working under long-term frameworks and collaborative contracts and has helped to develop various procurement solutions alongside our clients’ teams for large frameworks. Mick has over 25 years’ experience in the engineering and utility sector and is a qualified QS. He also has an MSc in Construction Law & Arbitration and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Ian joined the business in 1984 and Ian became a Regional Accountant before joining the Executive Staff of Morrison Utility Services in 1992, becoming Divisional Finance Manager in 1996. Ian has been in his current role as Financial Director since 1999 and is a Chartered Accountant.
Paul joined Morrison Utility Services in October 2007 as Safety, Quality, Environment & Quality Director having previously worked in the sector for 20 years, having had a varied career including spending 24 years as a Royal Engineer. Paul has a Masters Degree in Occupational Health & Safety Management, is a member of the EEIAS governing body for EU skills and a Chartered Member of IOSH.
Colin joined Morrison Utility Services in 2017 as Head of Resourcing & Training, establishing the People Strategy for the business. He was promoted to HR Director in March 2018. Prior to working for Morrison Utility Services, Colin worked in the shipbuilding, construction, facilities and transport sectors for more than 30 years, many of these at senior level. Colin’s experience includes major infrastructure projects both in the UK and overseas. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.
Tim joined Morrison Utility Services as Business Development Director in March 2009 having previously worked for a number of the UK's leading utility service providers. Tim is responsible for Business Development across all sectors within Morrison Utility Services and also Marketing and Communications. Tim has a degree in civil engineering, a diploma in marketing and over 23 years of experience in various core and specialist utility markets in the UK.
