Morrison Utility Services has been awarded a three year framework agreement by Western Power Distribution. The contract value is estimated at £30m + per annum and includes an option to extend by a further two years.
The scope of works includes dig and lay services for new connections, infrastructure asset work and the repair of network faults, as well as all associated traffic management and reinstatement.
The award of the framework means that Morrison Utility Services will maintain its existing operational footprint in the East Midlands, whilst extending its geographical coverage to the Northern patch including Derby, Nottingham, Chesterfield, Mansfield and large areas of the Peak District National Park.
Charles Morrison, Chief Executive, Morrison Utility Services, commented: “We are delighted to have secured this framework agreement that will see Morrison Utility Services working closely with Western Power Distribution across a broader geographical region. We look forward to supporting Western Power Distribution’s commitment to operate a safe and reliable electricity network across the East Midlands region and, as ever, our objective will be to deliver operational excellence with a clear and consistent focus on health, safety and strong customer service."
