We have been named as a finalist in two categories for the 2015 Construction News Specialist Awards.
The first MUS shortlisting is in the category of Training Excellence in recognition of its environmental awareness training programme, Make Time for the Environment. MUS was judged on a range of criteria including training culture, innovation in training methods and techniques, leadership, and outcomes and benefits of training.
The second shortlisting is in the category of Health & Safety Initiative of the Year in recognition of the groundbreaking MUS school safety programme which has been delivering important safety messages to a key high-risk audience - primary school age children, since 2011.
The focus of the latest MUS school campaign is cycle safety in and around utility construction works with specific safety messages around HGV visibility. Previous campaigns have focused on the dangers of playing in and around utility construction sites and the importance of understanding road works signals and signage.
Now in their 11th year, the Construction News Specialist Awards celebrate the technical prowess, innovation, project delivery and business acumen of specialist contractors in the UK.
Entries are judged by independent panels of industry experts and the awards will take place at the Park Lane Hilton Hotel in London on March 18th.
