Morrison Utility Services has been named winner of the Cloud Innovation category at the 2014 Computer Weekly European User Awards for Enterprise Software.

The award recognises the company’s innovative use of cloud-based technology in order to optimise field team operations management, reduce disruption and improve customer satisfaction.

The deployment of cloud-based, mobile workforce management solution ETAdirect has enabled Morrison Utility Services to introduce new efficiencies to its highway reinstatement activities associated with utility services delivery. The solution ensures optimisation of delivery through intelligent scheduling and routing. Using data collected from the field, the solution determines the best match between tasks and resources, whilst providing vehicles with the shortest routes between sites to ensure that tasks are completed as quickly and efficiently as possible.
