Noela Fitton, Business Development Manager (North area) at Morrison Utility Services, has been appointed President of the Institute of Water (Midlands area).
The presidency was handed over from Leah Fry, Head of Customer Experience Programme, Severn Trent Water, at the Institute’s annual gala dinner in April.
Commenting on the appointment, Dan Barton, Institute of Water, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Noela on board as President of our Midlands Area. One of the great things about our Membership is the diverse range of backgrounds it includes and having a non-water company Area President, such as Noela, further highlights our premise that we have something to offer everyone. Whether you work for a water company, supplier, contractor or regulator, we can help you develop and grow. I look forward to working with Noela over the coming 12 months, particularly as we get towards our 2016 Annual Conference which will be held in the Midlands Area.”
Noela Fitton, President (Midlands Branch), Institute of Water, added: “I am delighted to accept the role of President. The Institute of Water is a fantastic organisation which truly represents the industry – building knowledge and developing the skills of its members. The theme I have chosen this year is ‘collaboration’. Collaboration takes many forms ranging from best practice shared between water companies, through to providing opportunities for contractors and the supply chain to bring new innovative solutions to the sector. I look forward to the exciting twelve months ahead and my aim is to build on the excellent work that Leah carried out during her presidency.”
